Fireball Studio is a team of incredibly talented concept artists and art directors. From character design and concept design to environment and illustration, they build entire worlds. This project was a challenge because I felt vulnerable—being judged and criticized by a team of artists can be intimidating. As a creative, working with other creatives can sometimes make you feel a little… exposed.

I chose to create a custom type rather than use a font family for this project because incorporating hand-drawn elements, such as the pictorial mark and logotype, reflects the craftsmanship of the artists in this team. A fireball leaving a trail or about to hit a target tells a story of impact—an essential element of the brief. The end result is a fun, dynamic logo that captures the artistic flair of the Fireball team and positions their brand firmly within the Entertainment Industry.
